[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\"Technology<\/a>Since most small businesses do not have the same financial resources as their larger corporate competitors, it is even more important for small business decision makers to make the technology investments that can give the business an extra boost. In a recent PrimePay blog post, contributor Joe DeRosa explained that small company executives should pay\u00a0attention to technology. Not only can it make or break a business, but if it is used optimally\u00a0it can increase business productivity and help an organization grow.<\/p>\n

DeRosa outlined a few key technology solution areas that all small businesses can evaluate and enhance, including regular data backups, a Wi-Fi network, security-related data encryption, multiple monitors, operating systems, mobile applications, teleconferencing and social media.<\/p>\n

VoIP Compatible Solutions<\/h2>\n

PaySimple, a\u00a0leading cloud-based platform for managing and growing small businesses,\u00a0recently released the results of its 2013 Pulse Survey of Small Businesses. The survey found that small businesses have less interest in adding additional staff in 2013, and are instead\u00a0adding more technology solutions\u00a0to improve the operational functions of the office. Survey respondents also indicated there is a high demand for managing business operations from mobile devices.<\/p>\n

In another recent Dynamic Business article<\/a>, contributor Angely Grecia reported that one way to “future-proof” a business is with technology, and it is a good idea to think about technology as an investment in success.<\/p>\n

“It wasn’t that long ago when the idea of bringing your own smartphone or tablet to the workplace or using them to shop online from the comfort of your lounge was unthinkable,” Grecia wrote. “Technology has changed the way consumers well, consume things and they can do it all quickly at the touch of a button. It’s inevitable that technology for work and play will continue to evolve and converge rapidly, so it’s up to you to stay up to date so your business can benefit and reap the rewards.”<\/p>\n

How Technology Supports Small Business Success<\/h3>\n

Computerworld’s Paul Mah<\/a> recently outlined some of the top tech upgrades to\u00a0increase productivity, and at the top of his list was ramping up the office network. A\u00a0faster wireless\u00a0connection means a better experience for all, which can be observed both internally and through customer interaction. Faster wireless speed also means that more mobile devices can be easily supported as it takes less time to transfer data. As demand for enterprise mobility continues to grow, being able to accommodate more devices can enable a business for success.<\/p>\n
